On January 17th, I broke my right arm while skiing. On February 16th I became ill with a high fever. For several days it was assumed I had the flu. But by Day 10, when I did not improve, blood tests revealed something was very wrong. It took another several days and a CT Scan of my abdomen to reveal that I have a very large abscess on my liver. I was hospitalized on March 2nd. A procedure was done to insert a drain into my liver, I was started on IV antibiotics, and my health stabilized. I was released from the hospital on March 9th, but I remain very weak, on antibiotics and still have the drain in my liver. The doctors have not been able to pin down what exactly caused this abscess, but the theory is that when I fell and broke my arm I also injured my liver, a clot formed, and an abcess developed.
So many of you have reached out to me and I am sorry that I have not been able to respond to each of you, or at all until now.
Rick kept up as long as he was able filling orders and tending to C9SC but with caring for me, and managing his own business, it just became impossible. So we are closed until I return to health.
I appreciate your concern and prayers during this most difficult time. I will update you when C9SC is again open for business.
With much love and gratitude,
